Jack Paar was born on the 1st of May 1918 in Canton, Ohio, US. His official name is Jack Herald Paar. His Father’s name is Howard Paar while his mother’s name is Lillian M. Hein.
He along with his family migrated to Jackson, Michigan which is located in the south of Lansing at a distance of about 66 Kilometers.

Career As “The Tonight Show” Host
As mentioned earlier, Jack took the spot of a host of ‘The Tonight Show’ from Steve Allen. The main name of the show was ‘Tonight with Jack Paar’ from 1957 to 1959.
Later the name was again changed to ‘The Jack Paar Show’ from 1959 to 1962. Anyways, the show was more popular and noticeable because of some of the regular guests like Peter Ustinov. Moreover, characters like Charlie Weaver and Miss Monitor were also a part of the show.
A controversy began in 1959, in an interview with Fidel Castro who was a Cuban leader.
They met with controversy and Paar broadcasted the program live from Berlin at that time. The Berlin Wall was being built at that time.
The show was going well until he quit the show in an abrupt way. Jack left ‘The Tonight Show’ the reason, one of his jokes was censored by NBC.

Jack was married three times in his life, twice with his first wife Irene Paar and in 1943 he got married to Miriam Wagner and the couple lived together until his death in 2004.
After 1990, the health of Jack was continuously getting down and he also had three bypass heart surgeries. Also, he suffered a stroke in 2003.

From then he got into the death bed and died just at the start of 2004 on the 27th of January. At the time of death, Jack was in his home in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and his only daughter Randy Paar.
