Coleman won his first ever amateur bodybuilding contest in the 1990 Mr. Texas. He later went on to earn his pro card the following year at the 1991 World Amateur Championships. He competed for more than 8 years for this title. And in 1998, he finally won the Mr Olympia title and became the ninth ever Mr. Olympia of all time.

Then his win streak just started and he was unstoppable for the next 7 years until 2005. Colemon won the title of Mr. Olympia for 8 consecutive years.

Besides Mr. Olympia, he also won the Arnold Classic title in 2000. Throughout these 8 years, his only loss was against Gunter Schlierkamp in 2003’s GNC Show of Strength. But this loss strengthens Coleman more and he appeared in Mr. Olympia 2003 with more devastating physic.

Coleman weighs about 300 pounds on the stage and he was more shredded than before. There was a dispute between people that he was more shredded in 2001’s Mr Olympia. And another group was saying he is more shredded in 2003.

He got many sponsorships and partnerships with other bodybuilding brands too. This let Ronnie generate a huge amount of money for himself.

He was such a legend that was unbeatable until his health wrecked. During the training of

Mr. Olympia in 2006, Coleman got an injury in his spine and his left lat. Not just that, almost 18 years of hard training results in some other minor injuries too in other body parts.

Due to these injuries, or lack of training, Coleman was defeated by Jay Cutler in 2006 Mr. Olympia. But the champion didn’t stop here. He again participated in 2007’s Mr. Olympia and finished in fourth place.
