John Steinback was born on 27th of February 1902 in Salinas, California, US. If we look at his descent, he was of mixed descent of Irish, German and English. His grandfather’s name was Johann Adolf Grobsteinback who was the co-founder of Mount Hope. In 1958, his grandfather migrated to the US from Palestine as it was not safe for his family.

Between 1930 and 1933, John published three of his works, “The Pastures of Heaven (1932)”, “The Red Pony (1933)” and “To a God Unknown (1933)”. Through his work on these three writings he achieved the title of a well known writer and became more popular among people.
