He first started off in college theater at King’s College in Halifax and then Trinity College at the University of Toronto.
While acting, directing, and producing stage plays, he founded the Trinity College Workshop Plays program to feature and promote student-written plays.
In between classes, on breaks, and during summer, he also worked on commercials, independent films, and studio features such as Good Will Hunting and The Big Hit in various roles, learning film production from the ground up.
