Mauro Lannini is an Italian-born author, screenwriter, lyricist, and poet who attended an English school. He later moved to Hollywood to join an acting school.

He found interest in art, drawing, painting, sculpting, singing, and even playing the guitar. However, he realized playing the guitar wasn’t for him because after three days of playing, his fingertips were bleeding.

After watching the movie Rocky, he decided he wanted to be an actor. So, in his late teens, finally, their orphanage years were over. Since his father already met another woman, he and his brother went back home.

For three years in his early twenties, he worked construction during the day with his father and brothers and attended a local acting school three nights a week. The other three nights he went to a private English school.

After that, he felt confident that he had the skill to join the ranks of Hollywood stars. So, he packed up and moved.

For the next three years, he studied under Charlie Laughton. Then, he studied with Susan Peretz for two more years.

Director Keith Walley and writer Aaron Pope gave him the chance to play a leading role in the movie “The Boston Strangler,” which would allow him to portray Albert De Salvo in a historically accurate manner.

After appearing in plays and independent films, Mauro Lannini began writing screenplays for films of various genres. Growing up in orphanages, his life was difficult but he was always highly creative.

With great imagination and a gift for storytelling, he debuted as a writer with the poetic book “Letters to My Angels, Wikki and Blue.”

His next book was a love story, “A Little Like Romeo and Juliet in Animation,” “SKEETER” which was reviewed in the New York Times Book Review.
