Seimone Augustus, born April 30, 1984, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a professional player for the Minnesota Lynx.
Seimone Augustus grew up in Baton Rouge and spent a lot of time with her father playing ball as if he were schooling her.
It wasn’t long after his training sessions that she started copying his every move and became the best player on whatever team she was on before high school, where she had her first formal basketball coaching.

She ended up enrolling at LSU, where she was soon given the honor of being All-American three times during her collegiate career and won the WNBA Rookie Of The Year Award in 2004, just five years after graduation.
From there, she played for Team USA in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, winning two more Olympic Gold Medals back to back.

Seimone Coleman has played many sports at Capital High School. She excelled in both basketball and track, where she participated in the 1986 400-meter relay team and ran the 400-meter sprint.
