Midwestern Mansion For Bernie Mac
Over its 6,000 sq ft, the home features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Additionally, construction on the house began in 1985. When Bernie bought his house in 2002, it was worth about $875,000.

Today, it’s worth over $1,000,000. The house is also a landmark in Google Maps. Bernie Mac’s family almost certainly still lives in that gorgeous mansion from the 1980s.
While there are no pictures of the home’s interior, there is no doubt that it is stunning. In addition, there are magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows at the main entrance. Last but not least, the brick creates a genuine, cosy atmosphere.
Death, Disease, And Other Health Issues
In the summer of 2004, when Mac was busy filming Ocean’s Twelve and Guess Who and promoting Mr. 3000, he began experiencing several health issues.
In October of that year, Mac was supposed to finish filming Season 4 of The Bernie Mac Show, but he had pneumonia in both lungs and was so exhausted that Fox had to put the show on hold for four weeks while he rested. In 2005, his sarcoidosis entered a remission phase.

Mac’s final four years were spent openly discussing his diagnosis of sarcoidosis, a condition with an unknown cause that causes tissue inflammation. His sarcoidosis caused frequent lung attacks.
Mac was sent to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago on August 1, 2008. Mac, 50 years old, suffered from pneumonia and succumbed to cardiac arrest after a week of futile medical treatment, passing away on August 9 early in the morning.
A week after Mac’s death, his public burial was held at the House of Hope Church, where almost 7,000 mourners paid their respects.
Chris Rock, Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago, Samuel L. Jackson, Ashton Kutcher, Don Cheadle, the cast of The Bernie Mac Show, and his Kings of Comedy colleagues D. L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and Steve Harvey were among the notable mourners at Mac’s funeral.
