His mother went abroad and worked as a caregiver. He did his graduation in political science from Far Eastern University.
One of his teachers is his biggest inspiration. He told vice to just chase his dreams no matter how challenging the circumstances are.
Vice started his career as a singer and then shifted to stand-up comedy. He worked as a comedian for Punch line and The Library. Their owner gave him the name ‘Vice Ganda’. Later on, he also worked for various television programs.

Vice is also featured in many television series. He worked in a sitcom directed by Wenn V. Deramas. In addition to this, he played a supporting role in a drama series.
He joined Its Showtime as a regular presenter and judge in 2009. Besides Showtime, he has also launched his own Sunday talk show. He also became the judge for the show Pilipinas Got Talent.
