Taylor was married twice in his life. His first marriage was to actress Barbara Stanwyck on May 14, 1939. But the marriage couldn’t last for life as Taylor divorced Barbara in 1951.

After Barbara, German actress Ursula Thiess came into his life. She would remain his life partner for the rest of the life. Their marriage was held on May 23, 1954, in Jackson Hole.

From this marriage, he had two children including a son, Terrance, and a daughter, Tessa. Taylor also adopted two children from Thiess’s previous marriage.
