On January 8, 2016, the workers at the Wells Fargo branch in Atlanta’s downtown called in the police, seeing Blac Youngsta moving out of the bank with a huge amount of cash in hand.

While they had thought that Blac had robbed the bank, in fact, he had withdrawn a sum of $200,000 from his own account for purchasing a car. While the police had caught him for enquiry, Youngsta and his associates were released at the scene after the facts were verified.

Later while talking to the media, Youngsta accused the police and bank workers of racial profiling, making claims that he was arrested only because he was black and young. 

Controversies of Youngsta

On May 16, 2017, Blac Youngsta voluntarily surrendered to the police for his involvement in a shooting incident targeting Young Dolph, a Memphis-based fellow rapper.

Allegedly, Youngsta and his associates had fired more than 100 rounds into the SUV that Young Dolph was riding. Young was targeted for being a longtime rival of Yo Gotti, the founder of CMG, the album which had signed Blac.

Despite over 100 bullets being shot into the car, Young remained unharmed since the car was bulletproof. 

After being charged with six counts for using weapons and felony conspiracy, Blac was discharged on the same day on bond. However, the charges were dropped later in May 2019.

Due to this incident, Blac made headlines on the media and the criticisms did not stop even after Young shared the photo of himself being crucified.
